What to Expect What You’ll Do What You’ll Bring
As a Tesla Casting Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of a wide array of manufacturing equipment, such as Molten Metal Furnaces and High Pressure Die Casting Machines. You will apply your technical skills to install, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems, factory automation and robotics. You will work with the highest caliber process and equipment engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize or eliminate downtime.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all industrial production and mechatronics equipment
- Perform repairs on production-down equipment
- Operate and repair every cell on a line
- Perform Corrective Maintenance repairs on the equipment
- Experience with electrical systems ranging from 24 VDC to 480 VAC 3 phase, mechanical systems, conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC, networks and robotics
- Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogues and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms
- Ability to work off-shifts, as needed
- Experience working in a maintenance capacity on production manufacturing equipment or have equivalent training
- Ability to understand and record maintenance procedures and shift pass downs
- Ability to read and interpret basic assembly instructions
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to use PC applications to report issues and provide inputs
- Good mechanical and electrical knowledge to understand typical mechanisms and wiring associated with equipment
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
