Ring Connectivity is looking for Senior Software Development Engineer to lead the design and architecture of Wireless technology. You will help contribute to a nationwide community network that enables connectivity for millions of IOT devices. You will drive technical direction and feature roadmap for Connectivity SDKs that will support device life-cycle management.Key job responsibilities
- Manage key components of the Connectivity SDK- Evaluate different design choices, prototype new technology, and implement technical solutions that address business requirements- Work closely with cross functional team, understand the requirements, design and deliver innovative monitoring solutions to help preserve customer trust- Deal with ambiguity, make data-driven decisions and juggle cross-organization complexity
- Drive consensus when confronted with discordant views by identifying the best path forward and influence other to follow itA day in the life
As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to influence the product roadmap, define key components of overall system architecture and lead the adoption of best practices within the org. You will work closely with cross functional teams across Ring, Blink, Sidewalk and Key for Business orgs to bring a unified connectivity solution for our customers.
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 7+ years of full software development of wireless including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing.
- Knowledge of wireless embedded systems or architecture
- Experience with wireless networking hardware such as routers, wireless station, wireless access points
- Knowledge of 802.11, 802.3, DHCP, TCP/IP stack of wireless technology or BLE protocol and stack.
- Experience with Linux or RTOS development
