Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.
  • Design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for quality and engineering excellence at scale.
  • Experience developing large-scale , high availability services.
  • Ability to plan, schedule and deliver high quality software features.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications(PQs)

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

• OR related technical field AND12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScriptorPython

• OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

• OR equivalent experience.

• Experience working on large-scale automated deployment systems

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

• Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features. Begins to leverage a variety of feedback channels to incorporate insights into future designs or solution fixes. Reviews work items to deepen knowledge of product features in partnership with appropriate stakeholders and executes project plans, release plans, and work items.
• Drives identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform; creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).
• Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.
• Writes and learns to create code that is extensible and maintainable. Considers diagnosability, reliability, and maintainability with few defects, and understands when the code is ready to be shared and delivered. Leads by example and mentor others to produce extensible and maintainable code used across products.
• Leverages subject-matter expertise of cross-product features with appropriate stakeholders to drive multiple group's project plans, release plans, and work items.
• Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiates actions to restore system/product/service for simple and complex problems when appropriate.
• Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
