That’s where you come in: we're seeking an experienced Manager to lead the retail strategy for the Grocery and Convenience channels. This role will be pivotal in driving the development and execution of retail strategies that align with our brand goals and foster strong, strategic partnerships with key retail partners. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in food and beverage categories, with established relationships with major retailers such as Kroger, Albertsons, and 7-Eleven. This is an account leadership role that requires a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage complex retail relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Experience in conceptualizing, pitching, and executing a retail strategy for Grocery & Convenience. Aligning with the business objectives, category priorities, and long-term brand goals.
Work closely with global teams (Licensing, Product Development and creative, Marketing, Merchandise Brand Strategy, etc.) to deliver best-in-class programs across categories, including but not limited to toys, collectibles, apparel, beauty, food, and beverage.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, with the ambition to continue unlocking break-frame opportunities that meet collective business objectives.
Act as a champion for our retail strategy, vision, and messaging, ensuring a clear and consistent approach when communicating with internal teams and retail partners.
Deep knowledge of and passion for Netflix properties and a creative approach to bringing them to life at retail.
Ability to juggle multiple titles and pivot quickly with shifting priorities.
Leverage data and insights to formulate recommendations for future programs.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in retail strategy, account management, food & beverage licensing or related roles, with a focus on retailers such as Kroger, Albertsons, 7-Eleven etc.. Proven experience developing and executing successful retail strategies that drive growth and deliver results.
Deep understanding of trends, consumer behavior, and global market dynamics with the ability to optimize opportunities on a global scale.
Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams (marketing, category licensing, experiences, creative etc) and work effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels.
Strong network and established relationships within the grocery and convenience sectors, particularly with Kroger, Albertsons, and 7-Eleven with proven success navigating their complex organizations.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and present strategies clearly and persuasively.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to track, analyze, and optimize business performance.
Proven leadership experience in managing agencies and personnel in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $170,000 - $360,000.
