The successful candidate will:
Play a key role on the CAPA team responsible for articulating the Bank's financial and strategic story through public company communications.
Collaborate with business partners and colleagues in all aspects of communications planning and content development for corporate announcements, including quarterly earnings, M&A, Annual Meeting of Shareholders, Investor Day, and other enterprise initiatives.
Work closely with Investor Relations, Finance and Legal partners to develop media materials, key messages, briefing documents and other communications.
Craft compelling executive communications, capturing accurate tone and voice, including speaking remarks, presentations, briefing documents, video scripts.
Develop and execute media relations strategies and issues management for finance and public company issues.
Provide strategic communications advice to business leaders to help to articulate TD's story to investors, media and other stakeholders.
What you bring to the role:
10+ years of strategic communications or public relations experience.
Ability to synthesize financial data, articulate compelling narratives and build trust with stakeholders.
Excellent writing skills with proven ability to craft clear and compelling narratives across a range of communications.
Financial acumen to support communications for quarterly earnings/public company communications.
Results-oriented, strategic thinking skills and a collaborative and creative approach to building consensus and partnering with colleagues across the organization.
Proven track record in media relations, with strong relationships with key business/finance media.
Excellent judgment and proven experience providing communications advice and counsel to senior leaders.
Strong interest in news and broader issues and trends, combined with understanding of the financial services sector and the ability to apply to communications strategy.
Proven ability to navigate in a complex or ambiguous environment, managing multiple high-priority projects or deliverables.
Undergraduate degree orPR/marketing/corporatecommunications/journalismcertification, designations, or equivalent required.
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
