Role Description

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• As an SRE you have the responsibility of ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of the cloud infrastructure and platform.
• Diagnose and repair issues using critical knowledge of cloud platform, systems, and application architecture.
• Automate repeated manual tasks, develop tools and automation to improve the efficiency of the platform and infrastructure.
• Develop monitoring and dashboards for observability and proactive alerting.
• Analyze defects, propose improvements and drive efficiencies in systems and processes.
• Author and improve the quality of technical engineering documentation
• Performs Architecture, deployment, administration, configuration, testing, and integration tasks related to cloud platforms.
• Helps to develop new cloud engineering strategies and implementations for the firm
• Participates in SRE on-call rotations and escalation workflows.
• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, Java, PERL, or PowerShell
• Experience in: unix/linux environments, cryptography, log collection and aggregation - SIEM, database, networking, traffic analysis, security software development.
• Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with clear communication
• Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
• Strong understanding of cryptographic key management strategies.
• Experience working with PKWare, Thales, Vormetric, Gemalto KeySecure or Luna devices and management platforms The ability and mindset to fully own the production environment; to identify production issues, design and develop enhanced monitoring solutions and automate fixes for those issues.
