Our Facility Services Coordinator (FSC) is responsible for administrative aspects of managing facility operations, maintenance, projects, and support activities of in-house and subcontractor work. You'll supervise assigned staff, ensures operations are performed in safe manner and manages emergency operational readiness and capability. In addition, you'll act as point of contact for all contractual, technical, and administrative matters at assigned facilities and communicates with Facility Services Administrator (FSA) and local management on facility activities. This FSC position supports the FSA with Facility Inspections and compliance, Contractor coordination and oversight including Project Management when needed and will also assist in training new FSA and Admin staff with PR, PO procedures and NETS usage.

As the FSC, you'll also handle facility services by correctly identifying the issue and contact the appropriate contractor.

These include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plumbing – Respond to all reports of inoperative faucets, non-flushing toilets/urinals and check reports of clogged sinks, toilets, urinals and floor drains. This also includes inoperative garbage disposals, broken towel/TP dispensers and other units/fixtures within a restroom. Contact plumbing or drain cleaning contractor for issues and schedule repair.
  • Roof leaks - Investigate all reports of roof leaks and contain leak/dripping water as necessary. Contact roofing contractor and schedule service.
  • Refrigeration equipment/Ice makers – Investigate all reports of “warm” refrigerators, large liquid spills inside units or leaking units. Ice machines not producing ice or leaking. FSC shall adjust units or contact appropriate contractor and schedule repair.
  • Investigate all complaints of “too hot” “too warm” HVAC issues. Adjust thermostats or contact HVAC tech if believed to be equipment failure or adjustment issue.
  • Respond to all reports of broken or loose cafeteria/conference tables, broken or loose chairs of any type. FSC shall remove from service and contact the repairman.
  • Investigate reports of electrical problems and issues such as lights, fans, microwaves, wall sockets not working etc. check appropriate breaker box. Contact electrician as needed.
  • Investigate and correct all reports of restroom issues such as no hand towels, spilled water, exhaust fan failure, broken stall door or stall partition.
  • Investigate and resolve all reports of property drainage issues, fallen trees or large limbs, animal burrowing, fence or gate damage, outdoor lighting and signage etc.
  • Investigate all reports of loose carpet tiles, VCT tile issues etc. contact appropriate contractor and schedule repair.
  • Miscellaneous -Investigate all reports of problems with fitness room equipment, patio tables/umbrellas, smoking shelters, sidewalks, cigarette butt receptacles, interior and exterior man doors as well as overhead doors, fire doors etc. and contact appropriate contractor and schedule repair

*Some travel to other AHM facilities will be required.

*This is an on-site position.

Here's what you'll need

• Three plus years of experience in facility management or a similar role

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

The work area can involve a working environment indoors, as well as, outdoors which could cause exposure to outdoor elements; proper environmental attire will be required. Some areas can have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, pathogens and various chemicals. Safety is of the utmost importance. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.

Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination when preparing reports and using a computer keyboard, have vision sufficient to read computer screens, printed documents and operate office equipment, have hearing in the normal range with or without correction. In an 8-hour time period must be able to transport self across the facility, ascend and descend stair steps, lift objects up to 50 pounds from floor level to waist height, wear and use appropriate safety equipment.
