Responsibilities:
The scope of the role would be overseeing legal for the following businesses:
Corporate Banking
Commercial Banking
Issuer Services
Trade & Transaction Banking
In this role, you’re expected to:
To provide legal advice, guidance and support for all issues related to and manage Legal Risks for above businesses.
To ensure that exposure to legal risk is managed and the execution of business and operational strategies and initiatives is facilitated.
To draft, review and negotiate agreements and documents with clients.
To standardize documents and streamline processes.
Provide prompt, commercial, practical legal advice to above businesses;
Be proactive in the provision of legal support and in advising the business promptly of material legal developments and their implications;
Liaise with panel law firms and other appropriate external parties.
:
12-13 years of experience
Banking/financial industry experience or experience from big law firm
Proven analytical and organizational skills
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Bar license in good standing to practice law
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
