Job Description

The Production Planner plays a pivotal role in supporting manufacturing operations by generating a Detailed Production Schedule (DPS), in accordance to the Master Production Schedule (MPS) through the release of work orders while managing buffer/supermarket stocks based on the Material Requirements Plan (MRP)

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Ensures on time release and management of production orders to the shop floor

  • Manages the quality of planning related master data in close co-operation with ERP.

  • Generates a feasible Detailed Production Schedule (DPS) from the Master Production Schedule (MPS), while minimizing the changeover times in co-operation with Production/ Operations Management.

  • Optimize utilization of workforce and equipment

  • Responsible for the Material Requirements Plan (MRP) with support of Operational Buyers.

  • Responsible for managing buffer/ supermarket stocks based on Demand Driven Materials Requirement Planning (DDMRP) principles.

  • Responsible for organizing and chairing the daily/ weekly planning handshake meetings with Production/ Operations Management.

  • Monitoring of inventory levels of finished goods, semi-finished goods and raw materials.

You're the right fit if:

  • Associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training,

  • and experience

  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.

  • Proven experience working as a production planner.

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

  • Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Self-directed and self-motivated in job-related tasks.

The hourly pay range for this position is $22.75 to $39.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.
