• Proficient in understanding of production planning and coordinating a cross-functional scheduling process.
• Make delivery commitments on products, which involve coordination with project management and customer commitment, checking uncommitted material and availability of capacity.
• Ensure coordination with manufacturing, quality, tech services and supply chain teams to execute Production Plan on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing and packaging planning, demand, and replenishment processes.
• Monitor actual output vs. the Master Production Plan - identify gaps and drive solutions, including development of a production performance metric.
• Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts and production problems including leading root cause problem-solving sessions as needed.
• Support the implementation and execution of new production planning software and SOP process to review service levels, capacity availability and performance against schedule.
• Support any regulatory agency, customer and vendor audits as needed.
• Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.
• Participates as a member of the Material Review Board and provides analysis and information.
• Responsible of monitoring and reporting applicable plant indicators and provides financial data associated to absorption, standard cost, PPV, etc.
• Drives cost reduction/continuous improvement programs to meet (or better) standard cost targets and purchase price variance forecasts.
• Interprets data from demand forecasts and execute plan to support fill rate goal.
• Performs a wide variety of administrative duties in the field of forecast and inventory planning, inventory replenishment, purchasing and supplier management.
• Uses planning tools (MRP, spreadsheets and e-tools) to meet production schedule.
• Leads efforts to reduce lead times and support on-time delivery to production.

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

Areas of Study and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Administration, Supply Chain Operations or related discipline an asset.
• Experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency measurements
• APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) an asset
• SAP previous exposure with use of APO (advanced planning and optimizer) application in Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) component.
• ERP systems, MRP, Excel competencies, strong computer background with a thorough understanding of MRP processes, word processing, and spreadsheet software expertise, including macros.
• Inventory management skills with balancing stock levels, customer service and efficiency.
• Demonstrates knowledge of planning and possesses excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Detail oriented.
