As an Analyst in the Commercial Banking International Korea team, you will be jointly responsible for the overall relationship management and credit requirements of the Korea subsidiaries of our Commercial Bank clients. Leveraging the firm’s capabilities to meet our client’s domestic and international financial needs, your team provides dedicated client service, local market expertise and industry knowledge combined with active coordination, domestically and internationally, of JP Morgan’s extensive product and service expertise to deliver comprehensive solutions across multiple product and service disciplines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with client acquisitions, on-boarding new clients, remediation and maintenance of the existing portfolio, including client due diligence, Know Your Customer and Anti Money Laundering requirements
  • Establish and maintain local contacts with Commercial Banking clients, working closely with US based International Product Specialists (IPS) and Parent Bankers in the US, EMEA and APAC to increase wallet share of existing clients as well as cross-sell products
  • Manage banking products including cash management, liquidity, trade, Foreign Exchange (FX) and credit for our clients
  • Manage the sales pipeline, book timely client call memos, be responsible for preparation of proposals/ presentations for existing and prospect clients
  • Support the implementation of client solutions, attend to client service requests, annual reviews of facilities, credit and portfolio statistical reporting, ad hoc reporting and keep abreast of new developments in products
  • Work with key internal stakeholders including but not limited to: the local, regional & global International Commercial Banking Teams, US based International Product Specialists, Parent Bankers, product & service delivery partners, Investment Banking teams, Underwriters and Credit Committee, Legal Compliance and middle & back office support teams

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Korean
  • Minimum 1 year of industry experience within the banking or consulting or finance sectors, experience working in client relationship management teams within these sectors
  • A broad understanding of the financial services markets, including a basic understanding of transaction banking / cash management services is required
  • Understanding of local regulatory requirements, particularly Anti-Money Laundering and ability to apply this knowledge in all day to day activities
  • Excellent communication skills with proven strength for personal engagement
  • Self-starting with clear results orientation and a capacity to operate independently, appropriately balancing short, medium and long term objectives
  • Flexibility to co-ordinate and manage multiple transactions and processes contemporaneously ensuring delivery against deadlines, client expectations and business priorities and able to work consistently across different time zones and geographies, dealing with numerous stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in Economics, Business, Finance are preferred - fresh graduates are also welcome
  • Energetic and team orientated
  • Knowledge of traditional trade finance, foreign exchange, and working capital debt products would be an advantage
  • Proven ability to work professionally and effectively across diverse product and service capabilities
