Reporting to the Director of FP&A – Business Process Manager, you will act as a subject matter expert (SME) for process simplification, automation (with special emphasis on RPA and emerging technologies), and efficiency. You will partner closely with FP&A teams, Technology, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver step-change improvement in planning, forecasting, reporting, and business insights.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead the design, assessment, and optimization of end-to-end FP&A business processes, identifying automation opportunities using RPA and other digital solutions.
- Drive the implementation of RPA solutions to standardize, automate, and continuously improve recurring finance processes (e.g., financial forecasting, consolidation & reporting, cost control, investment tracking).
- Serve as a process advisor across the transformation portfolio, providing guidance on process redesign, lean practices, and automation best practices.
- Collaborate with internal FP&A teams, Technology, Data, and FS team to develop and scale digital workflows, including requirements definition, solution design, and testing.
- Champion digital upskilling and change management, helping team members adapt to automated workflows and supporting training initiatives.
- Monitor and report on automation impact, continuously evaluating performance metrics and identifying areas for further improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends in RPA, GenAI, and data-driven FP&A technologies to ensure Booking.com maintains a future-ready, best-in-class finance function.
- Support the broader BPO & Transformation agenda, including project management, benefit tracking, and documentation of new/updated processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven track record (6+ years) in business process excellence within FP&A or Finance transformation, preferably in a large-scale, multinational or digital business.
- Hands-on expertise in RPA tools and a strong grasp of digital process automation concepts.
Experience leading automation initiatives across multiple finance process domains, with direct impact on cycle time, accuracy, and business insights. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills: able to distill complex process flows into clear, actionable digital solutions.
- Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification is highly desirable.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and deliver on milestones in a transformation environment.
- Collaborative team player, with a passion for empowering others, coaching, and building digital capabilities across teams.
- Adaptable, intellectually curious, and comfortable working with ambiguity and changing priorities in a dynamic business context.
