Job Description

Key Responsibilities/essential functions include:

  • Total system-level troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated equipment.
  • Interface with doctors and technicians on equipment status issues. Acts to ensure satisfaction to customers. Maintain communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
  • Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure they are calibrated.
  • Can identify Sales opportunities and communicate to account team in his/her geographic area
  • Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient and cost-effective service to the assigned area
  • Responsibly completes all administration tasks on time.
  • Ensures timely completion of assigned FMIs and PMs
  • Assist less experienced Junior Field Services Engineers on advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical fixes
  • Cooperate with the internal stakeholders and interlocutors
  • Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard, according to the GE Service Quality Policy Statement

Goals:

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Identify and report immediately customer quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, IT Engineering or similar field, or High specialization technical Diploma and a relevant experience on the field and with the customers
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a specific modality or multi-modalities, extensive knowledge and experience of [add name of specific modalities needed] machineries in particular
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly
  • Expert in interacting with the Customer, drive positive relationships, ensure satisfaction
  • Based in Toscana or able to relocate
  • Fluent in Italian and English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to show self-initiative & motivation and to work independently with minimum direction
  • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process
  • Change agent and process oriented
  • IT & connectivity skills
