Your key responsibilities

• Analyze economic and financial data, market trends, and industry reports to help design, develop, and construct economic models and tools to assist government agencies, non-profits, and corporations across industries and global markets
• Assist in performing cost-benefit analyses, economic impact assessments, econometric modelling and forecasting, and policy analysis and program design across a range of different sectors
• Support in assignments where econometric and statistical techniques are adopted to develop optimization tools, construct valuation and risk assessment models, quantify economic damages, and/or help businesses in their decision-making process
• Participate in commercial research and marketing efforts
• Stay up to date on business and economic developments relevant to our clients’ businesses
• Use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided
• Identify issues and propose solutions
• Actively contribute to report writing and the development of financial and economic models
• Demonstrate strong team participation skills, particularly in teams with diverse skills and backgrounds
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and consistency in client work, business development and practice development
• Demonstrate strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas

What we look for

• Strong academic background, includinga bachelor's degree from a top universityin Economics / Mathematics / Statistics / Accounting and Finance, or another related field with a fundamental understanding in micro and macroeconomics
• Significant relevant work experience, using economic theories and practices and working with public data sources, while analyzing economic indicators
• Experience performing economic impact assessments, cost-benefit analysis, economic benchmarking, and policy and program design
• Knowledge of basic economic principles, and the ability to conduct independent economic research and apply fundamental economic theory to clients’ issues
• Knowledge of key macroeconomic trends and policy issues, as well as the ability to conduct economic analyses related to these factors
• Interest in industrial organization, international economics, and econometrics
• Excellent written and verbal skills both in Greek and English
• Advanced knowledge in MS Office packages, in particular MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent analytical, project management, multi-tasking skills, including a strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
• Strong team participation, interpersonal and time management skills, as well as ability and flexibility to work alongside team members to ensure the timely completion of work deliverables
• Professionalism and consistency in approach to client work, internal business, and practice development

Ideally, you’ll also have

• An MBA, or an MSc degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or another related field with a fundamental understanding in micro and macroeconomics
• Experience in a Big4 professional services firm
• Experience in economic advisory, data analytics, regional economic development, and economic research preferred
• Experience with computer programs, such as STATA, R, and MatLab
• Adequate understanding of financial accounting
• Familiarity with sustainability goals and ESG metrics and their implications for the economy, specific sectors, and corporate strategy and value creation
