Essential Duties
  • Supports Managing Directors in executing on all Business Development transactions including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments; Collaborate on partnerships / alliances, and licensing activities

  • Leads various phases of the transaction process including analysis of inorganic strategy and markets, target identification and screening, structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation and closing

  • Supports prioritization of global market segment requirements, performs gap analysis to business unit portfolio, and defines strategic and tactical steps to best position segment for accelerated growth

  • Works with BD leadership to manage communication and alignment with key internal stakeholders to support effective decision making and transaction approval processes

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated aptitude for both managing and prioritizing multiple projects and initiatives

  • Team leadership and facilitation skills in a matrix organization and interacting with senior executives

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Clear thinking: Some experience simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability, making decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information, and communicating priorities clearly and concisely

  • Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others

  • Adaptable/Flexible: Open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

  • Excellent working knowledge of English language (oral and written)

Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Life Sciences or Medicine

  • Minimum 8 years of experience with a minimum of 6 years of relevant business development experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, licensing, divestitures, joint ventures in a corporate, investment banking, or consulting environment

  • Experience supporting and / or leading certain elements of the transaction process including: analyzing strategy and markets, identifying and screening targets, structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation and closing
