We're looking for an experienced
Wealth Planning Content Editor, with experience as a subject matter expert (SME) on Canadian legislative and/or policy changes, to help distill complex legal documents into a working catalog of technical papers aimed at a broad Wealth Advisor audience.
As ayou will own and manage an external-facing content publishing calendar on behalf of the Wealth Planning Office. You will work with and manage a team of SME stakeholders to ensure WPO content is aligned with Wealth business priorities (TDAM, Direct Investing and Advice), as well as being accurate, timely and reflective of any recent legislative updates. The content strategy will include systems in place for creation, review and audit of the greater catalog of content.
As a member of the SEC content publishing team, who holds specialized Subject Matter Expertise, you will help coordinate, edit, review and publish a high volume of real-time content on technical topics relating to Wealth Planning that could include: tax planning, growing wealth through registered savings accounts, pension management, business ownership and succession, private trust administration and more. The successful candidate has experience or a relevant background in financial planning, understands the value of expert-driven insights, and can quickly sense what matters to audiences both internal (advisors) and external (clients). In this role, you will use your creativity, resourcefulness and systems thinking to own and manage a busy content calendar of public-facing releases, reports and updates. You will work closely with internal partners in TD's Wealth Planning Office, as well as graphics and creative services teams, to deliver content that is accurate, relevant and thoughtful, from quarterly planning to the finish line in a timely manner.
Work with stakeholders within TD's Wealth Planning Office to establish quarterly and annual content calendar of new & revised reports, and provide working liaison between WPO and SEC editorial team to drive content creation aligned to WPO team directives
Establish and utilize templated graphic solutions, prepared with support of SEC Creative Services, to ensure consistency and efficient approvals that enable speed-to-market for timely articles and infographics.
Monitor Wealth Management industry sources for legal updates and policy changes that could impact published content.
Comfortable working with content management tools (WordPress, Sprinklr) to support publishing process and ensure content is presented with accuracy and appeal in public-facing and internal TD channels.
Understand and manage control guardrails in a regulated environment (legal).
Collaborate with editorial and production teams (design, videography, production) to help identify and share highly relevant insights for use in editorial content production.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
8-plus years experience in business or wealth planning and finance and one or more associated designations (e.g. CFP, JD/LLB, CPA CA, TEP).
Exceptional knowledge of wealth planning topics as they relate to content strategy, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Depth and competency with structured content formats and up-to-date on current and emerging trends and platforms includingAdobe Creative Cloud and/or other content publishing solutions (WordPress)
Project management experience and proficiency in creating content from technical wealth reports.
