Role and Responsibilities
As a
Accounting Associate,you will mainly cover Accounts Payable operations, basic general ledger transactions, reporting, audit and Continuous Improvement activities, being in charge with:
- Performing audit for the accuracy of the accounting postings performed by an external provider (AP & AR processes), in the aim of obtaining and reporting accurate KPIs;
 - Reviewing in SAP cash application (AR process) as well with AP documents (invoices and expense claims), performed by an external provider, and rejecting those entries which fail accuracy;
 - As part of governance responsibilities, performing regular reports and/or presentations, with the support of your Senior colleagues and/or Supervisor, with the purpose of monitoring the external provider for the AP & AR operations, identifying process issues, proposing corrective actions and ensuring these are implemented and followed;
 - Participating to weekly calls held together with external provider and Subsidiary (AP & AR);
 - Act as back-up for Month End Closing by being ready to step in, when required, and prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other financial reports; also performing ad-hoc specific Closing tasks, under supervision of your Senior colleagues, to practice on Samsung processes;
 - Ensuring accuracy of financial documents in accordance with international standard and internal policies;
 - Maintaining the confidential aspect of the financial data;
 - When required, participating to Continuous Improvement projects;
 - Acting as an ambassador for promoting Samsung Shared Service to our European subsidiaries, ensuring services are delivered in line with the agreed levels of quality and productivity.
 
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related;
 - Primary accounting experience is a plus (GL/AP/AR);
 - Experience of SAP FI systems is a plus, as well;
 - Good Excel and database skills;
 - Good analytical and problem solving skills; Detail-oriented
 - Basic knowledge over (IFRS) accounting procedures;
 - Ability to work independently and also a great team-mate;
 - Time management skills;
 - English written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization.
