The Data Platform Team at SAP Concur has the following core responsibilities:

• Build a robust and highly scalable data lake in the cloud
• Build an ingress pipeline to ingest data from a variety of different sources
• Provide a variety of ways to egress customized data objects out of the platform to our customers
• Optimize solutions for cost, scalability, security, and maintainability
• Understand customer needs, translate them into product requirements, and enhance product
• Solve complex software problems and customer issues
• Mentor junior engineers

What you'll bring

• Strong experience in writing clean production-ready code (Java, Go, Spark, Redshift, etc.) with a strong focus on quality, scalability, and high-performance
• Experience building scalable asynchronous REST API's
• Strong experience in software engineering development principles
• Experience working with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, data structures, algorithms and distributed systems
• Ability to be a self-starter with a result-driven attitude
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Ability to learn new technologies and do research
