Your Role and Responsibilities
Our Corporate Affairs team leads cross-company reputation and positions initiatives, integrating functions that shape the company’s perception among specific audiences, including IBMers, top-tier reporters, industry analysts, and current or potential clients. Scope for the role includes:
- Leading communications for a specific business unit or geography.
- Partnering with senior leaders to create strategies that engage IBMers in our company’s vision, measuring impact and outcomes, and helping them understand their impact on our business and clients’ success.
- Driving initiatives that enhance IBM’s reputation across diverse audiences, including employees, top-tier reporters, industry analysts, and clients.
- Overseeing IBM external communications in Turkey, managing cooperation with local agencies and stakeholders, dealing with crisis situations.
Internal communications area:
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies aligned with the company’s regional and global business objectives.
- An expert in content Creation & channels Management.
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a collaborative company culture across MEA.
- Support internal events, town halls, and regional all-hands meetings by preparing leadership messages, speeches, and presentations.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications through metrics and employee feedback.
External communications with focus on Turkey:
- Fluent Turkish language knowledge
- Develop and execute external communications strategies aligned with both regional and global business goals. Support executives’ communications and channels management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local media, journalists, and influencers.
- Maintain communication with external stakeholders such as partners, industry bodies, and government organizations.
- Manage crisis communication plans and handle any unforeseen issues and protect brand reputation.
- Have a general understanding of the Turkish market.
