*This role is based in Los Angeles and onsite 3x a week. We are not able to consider a fully remote working arrangement*

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and develop a thorough understanding of domestic and international film & television production incentives.

  • Track and drive incentive audit projects to completion through coordination with Prep and Post Accounting teams; provide documents and information to external advisors.

  • Assist colleagues with managing the entire incentive lifecycle for film and series projects (domestic and international).

  • Prepare incentive applications, review budgeted incentive estimates, gather various documents required at each phase, coordinate with external service providers to answer questions from production, and update the incentives tracking system.

  • Work in close alignment with Production Tax colleagues to provide timely information to cross-functional teams through memos, slide decks, and structure charts.

  • Liaise with the content accounting team on financial reporting of incentives.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to work efficiently, collaboratively, and cross-functionally with a focus on practical problem-solving; a demonstrated ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information is a must.

  • 1+ years of experience in a tax, finance, legal, or accounting environment.

  • Experience in tax and incentive matters related to film/TV production is a plus but not required.

  • Experience in production accounting or studio production finance is a plus but not required.

  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong interpersonal working relationships.

  • Ability to coordinate with global cross-functional teams and successfully operate within a multicultural international environment.

  • Knowledge of the Google suite of applications (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, and Calendar) preferred, and a sense of how cloud-based document/database systems are used in a modern business environment.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000-240,000.
