You will have experience in advanced finite element analysis (FEA), preferably in high volume consumer electronic products. Direct experience with sensor technologies is a plus.
Proficient in Abaqus, ANSYS, COMSOL, or other FEA tool (Abaqus preferred)
Structural and thermal-mechanical analysis focus; non-linear FEA/FEM experience desirable. Additional analysis may include, but not limited to, heat transfer, electromagnetics, electrostatics, CFD, acoustics, fatigue, fracture mechanics, and biomechanics
Applied knowledge/experience with material testing and modeling involving complex nonlinear materials such as soft adhesives, elastomers, and polymers
Proficient in Matlab and Python scripting
Experience in data and statistical analysis (Monte Carlo, DOE, statistical process control) is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and people skills; ability to interact and collaborate with management, team members and external vendors to achieve project goals, and give positively to the engineering community
Education & Experience
BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
