Key Qualifications
  • Expert in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), preferably in high volume consumer electronic products.
  • Proficient in Abaqus, ANSYS, COMSOL or other FEA tool (Abaqus preferred)
  • Highly experienced in structural analysis that involves non-linear materials and boundary conditions. Other desired expertise includes heat transfer, thermal-mechanical analysis, electromagnetics, acoustics, fatigue and fracture mechanics.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals in solid mechanics, kinematics, and dynamics
  • Skilled in statistical data analysis and data visualization
  • Experience with 3D CAD
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills
  • Works well in a team and collaborative multi-functional environments
Description
- Generate finite element models of mechanical parts, modules, and assemblies- Perform static, dynamic, structural, and thermal-mechanical analysis- Communicate and report analysis results to cross functional peers and management- Own and drive material characterization to improve correlation between model and experimental data- Coordinate and work with other analysts to integrate module models into larger system assemblies- Generate new intellectual property
Education & Experience
BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
