Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

As a Franchise Lead, you will be primarily responsible for maximizing the market and sales potential for the Franchise in the Oncology Business Unit that is the priority Unit for the company.

You will have an external, stakeholder focus, will form and lead an agile team in the specific franchise.

The Primary Activities include but not limited to

  • Lead the development of Agile, Digital & Data-driven capabilities in the respective franchise.
  • Market understanding: Analysis of local market and identification of commercial opportunities based on market research and customer insights
  • Strategy development: Participation at regional brand meetings, understanding and translating the global product strategy into local priorities and the integrated business plan
  • Project & event management: Implementation and tracking of (digital) campaigns, initiatives and materials directed at different internal and external stakeholders, such as HCPs, sales teams or patients
  • Customer focus: field visits with sales team to coach and collect feedbacks on current programs and gaining customer insights, individual visit with relevant stakeholders aimed at co-developing materials or implementing specific programs, participation at national, regional or local congresses or our Company own events
  • Financial acumen: Forecasting & tracking of product sales and expenses in alignment with the BU and finance department based on local external and global internal assumptions
  • Expense management: allocating resources and managing budgets. Tracking progress and adjusting activities accordingly
  • Cross functional collaboration: ensure alignment with the Integrated Brand and Customer Plan between various stakeholder- departments such as Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Finance, demand planning etc. Participating in or leading cross functional workstreams of different nature
  • Coach and guide the BCM (Brand&Customer Manager) reporting to the franchise lead to ensure successful implementation of projects/activities as defined in the integrated business plan
  • Leads and inspires the sales team to ensure high individual and team performance and personal development
  • Foster the adoption of digital tools and tactics (remote calls)
  • Ensures adequately staffed sales team with motivated and qualified employees by selecting, coaching, training, developing, rewarding and retaining the right people.
  • Creates an environment based on trust, un-waivered ethics & integrity, and open & honest communication.

Qualifications

  • University degree in bioscience or business/MBA or PhD preferred. Advanced degree in bioscience, medicine, business, and/or economics
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management position within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with solid sales management and marketing experience.
  • Strong scientific background or acquired skills in Oncology
  • Hungarian & English language proficiency
