Senior Manager, Project Management - Card Inbound Payments
What will you do?
  • Lead a team of project managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative environment focused on delivering secure and compliant payment solutions.

  • Partner with Risk Management to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks within the Card Inbound Payments platform.

  • Collaborate with Product Management and Technology teams to integrate effective controls into the design and development of new and existing payment features.

  • Oversee the project management lifecycle for control-related initiatives, ensuring timely execution, clear communication, and adherence to quality standards.

  • Drive the implementation of preventive controls to minimize risk events and improve operational efficiency.

  • Manage projects related to payment modernization efforts, ensuring seamless transitions, robust control coverage, and minimal customer impact.

  • Ensure projects comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining a strong focus on compliance.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across various departments, including Risk, Product, Technology, Operations, Legal, and Compliance.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics to track progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.

  • Champion a culture of risk awareness and proactive problem-solving within the team and across stakeholder groups.

Ideal Candidate Would Have:

  • Experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on payment operations, risk management, or compliance.

  • A strong understanding of payment processing, including relevant technologies and industry standards.

  • Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring controls within a complex operational environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Risk, Product, and Technology teams.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 4 years of Project Management experience

  • At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering or interacting with internal business clients

  • At least 2 years of People Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or MBA

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience

  • 5+ years of experience with project management platforms (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence)

  • 4+ years of experience supporting, partnering or interacting with internal business clients

  • 3+ years of People Management experience

  • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or Business Process Management

McLean, VA: $170,800 - $194,900 for Sr Manager, Project Management Richmond, VA: $155,300 - $177,200 for Sr Manager, Project ManagementThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
