Indirect Tax Manager – Cambridge, MA.
As an Indirect Tax Manager, you will leverage your analytical and technical skills to ensure compliance with Indirect Tax and support the accounting function. Based in Cambridge, MA you'll be part of the Group Tax Function and will be expected to manage high-volume health technology businesses across the U.S. This role requires urgency, accuracy, and the ability to build strong networks within Philips and with external partners, driving superior results and exceeding team goals.
Your role:
Serve as the primary consultant for indirect tax matters, ensuring compliance with state and local laws across sales/use tax, personal property tax, gross receipt tax, unclaimed property, and business licenses.
Manage third-party vendors and collaborate with business units to oversee tax filings, maintain accurate provisions, and support audit processes.
Review and reconcile monthly tax accruals, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with KPIs, and proper nexus analysis and registrations.
Support tax audits, prepare projections for accruals and payments, and verify taxability on sales and purchases.
Optimize ERP systems for indirect tax compliance, research and document tax issues, and maintain SOX-compliant processes for exemption certificates and transaction tax developments.
You're the right fit if:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience listed above is required. MST and/or CPA/CMI preferred., knowledge of SAP and Vertex O Series preferred.
5+ years of experience in a large corporate environment is required. Public experience is preferred.
Knowledge of HRS Pro Unclaimed Property software, experience with Unclaimed Property required and knowledge of US Indirect tax laws/regulations.
Able to work under critical time constraints and excellent analytical, organization, planning and communication skills.

The pay range for this position in MA is $86,240.00 to $147,840.00
