The baseline individual for this role will be comfortable with the Linux Kernel and understand how to develop in languages such as C, Assembly and Python in a Linux environment. Experience with Linux package management, version control systems, automated build processes, and software unit testing are a must. Knowledge in Linux kernel internals is required for this role. An understanding of and experience in contributing to open source projects is a plus.
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Deep knowledge in Linux kernel internals
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Previous contributions to the Linux kernel
