Key Role Details

  • This is a full-time paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2025.

  • Participation in the internship requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance in our McLean offices, in accordance with Capital One’s, for the duration of the program.

  • Interns will be evaluated for a full-time position within our Finance Rotation Program, with a start date in July 2026 following the completion of the internship.

  • Candidates should be open to all locations where the business has a presence.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by July 2026 or earlier (for example: If you are graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in May 2025 and are also currently enrolled in a full-time Master’s degree program with an expected graduation date of May 2026, then your most recent full-time degree program is your Master’s degree)

  • Must be continuing in the same course of study of your most recent full-time degree program following completion of the internship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering or relevant major

Finance Internship Program - 2025

Your projects may include:

  • Driving new insights and efficiencies through specific project-based work using data visualizations tools, and data manipulation / modeling skills (i.e. Python, SQL)

  • Analyzing key business drivers such as customer and asset volume, attrition, losses and margins

  • Improving forecasting models through the analysis of key business trends

  • Assisting in the filing of externally reported financial statements

The Ideal Candidate Would Have:

  • A demonstrated interest in financial management, technology aptitude and digital learning

  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills

  • Desire to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment

This is a paid internship.
