As a Project Manager, you will lead a portfolio of high-impact strategic projects for the Retail Construction Team. In addition to this, you will have the opportunity to leverage your strong analytical and project management skills alongside our most experienced business partners, product partners, and data experts.
As a Project Manager for Capital One’s Retail Construction Organization, you will be in a diverse role that will leverage your Project Management, Process Management and Process Engineering skills. You will be delivering new capabilities, developing and implementing new processes, improving current processes, and leading the governance of select Program Management Office's (PMO) policies and procedures. In this exciting role you will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver results that will have a direct impact on the bottom line of the company. General Responsibilities:
Standing up and leading moderate to large complex (Cross Organizational) projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, and peers
Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements
Ensuring projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time
Analyzing current processes to identify areas for improvement then building and executing on the plan to put in place the improvements
Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts
Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
Should demonstrate excellent skills in risk management, risk identification and risk mitigation as needed
Identify ways to improve and streamline business process
Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands
Display strong consulting and collaboration skills
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
At least 5 Years Project Management experience
At least 2 Years Process Engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s / MBA Degree
6+ Years of PM Experience
At least 1 year of Retail or Commercial Construction Experience
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certifications
How our hybrid model works
This role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. Monday and Fridays are enterprise- wide virtual work days. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.
