Role Description – Innovation Hive Senior Manager (L4) – Sales & Growth Team (Full-time)

Key responsibilities

We are looking for strong candidates with experience of working within tax (in-house or professional services) or consultancy and with a keen interest in technology. Day-to-day responsibilities include to:

  • Work with leadership to develop a scalable strategy around how Tax & Law sub-service lines (SSLs) will adopt the platform as part of their service delivery and align with SSL sponsors on the technology roadmap they require to achieve this.

  • Create business cases for technology development – understanding the business issues, the market and preparing up with a commercially viable proposition.

  • Develop and lead propositions and campaigns driving technology opportunities and adoption both internally within EY and externally with EY clients.

  • Be the technology lead on client pitches, providing insightful demos, managing the commercial approach, and supporting client onboarding

  • Lead client proposals and delivery of technology solutions to our clients including drafting proposal materials, running training sessions, software implementations and ongoing support to ensure our clients have the best experience with the solution

  • Managing the upskilling and training of platform experts within the sub-service lines – influence how those champions then roll out training across their networks

  • Define measures for determining the success of the technology strategy for your owned campaigns and track performance against these

  • Working with the wider Innovation Hive team to provide input and feedback that helps shape the ongoing development of solutions / platform

What you will need:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of Big 4 experience, or equivalent in-house or consulting experience

  • Demonstrable professional experience in managing and delivering client engagements including scoping, managing delivery risk, execution, quality and review of deliverables

  • Strong networking skills and a hands-on approach to building and maintaining excellent relationships across a range of clients in various industries and internal stakeholder management

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both senior and junior stakeholders

  • A strong commercial acumen with the ability to apply this to developing, implementing and measuring progress against objectives.

  • Experience managing and coaching junior team members including managing their workload and providing constructive and timely feedback.

  • Strong time management skills and an ability to work efficiently with little supervision and with a high degree of self-motivation

  • A passion for technology and a desire to learn more about how technology can be used to help support our clients

Ideally, you’ll also have some of the following (not required):

  • Accounting or Tax qualification (e.g. ACA, CTA, ATT)

  • Prior experience working in a tax, technology or business transformation role

  • Working knowledge and experience in using one or more Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS

  • Working knowledge of tax regulation and processes (e.g. FATCA/CRS, Corporate Tax, Indirect Tax etc)

  • Experience of working on cross-jurisdictional projects, with multiple client and internal stakeholders.

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc.)

  • Experience creating go-to-market materials (presentation decks, proposals etc.)
