Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing process and product development for mechanical parts and assemblies for electronics products.
- 2 years of experience designing mechanical components such as metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit board outlines.
- Experience in mechanical design and development to support manufacturing.
- Experience with 3D CAD tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with product data management systems (e.g., Agile, Windchill).
- Experience in one or more sub-disciplines (i.e., sheet metal fabrication, hard tooling fabrication, plastic injection molding) with the ability to provide Design for Excellence feedback.
- Understanding of precision sheet metal fabrication processes (e.g., NC punching, press brake forming, hardware insertion processes), hard tooling fabrication processes (e.g., metal stamping), plastic injection molding processes, and electro-mechanical assembly.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multi-geo teams on complex projects spanning multiple technologies.
