Job responsibilities
- Design technical solutions with JPMC’s cloud platform by coordinating with JPMC central public cloud architecture team to meet the product requirements.
- Design and develop scalable and resilient systems and contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams.
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
- Develop, debug, and maintain code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
- Create internal Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure using JPMC’s public cloud terraform modules.
- Perform regular code reviews developed by the team members. Coordinate application testing and signoff.
- Deploy the AWS Services and code migrations using JPMC automated pattern build by coordinating with central implementation team.
- Provide expert product support on all implementations for JPMC’s cloud automation systems.
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Skills & experience required in – Linux/Unix; Agile; Data Architecture Disciplines; Infrastructure Architecture Disciplines for AWS (Excluding Google and Microsoft); Microservices; Apache Kafka; NodeJS; Java; Python; Scala; SQL; XML; REST; SOAP; JSON; Kubernetes; Terraform; AWS Cloud Services; AWS Glue; MongoDB; Oracle; DB2; MySQL; Postgre; Autosys; Shell Script; PLSQL; Apache Spark; Splunk; PySpark programming; JUnit; Analytical tools; QuickSight; Tableau; Alteryx.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- AWS Architect or Developer certification
- Terraform certification
- Any other data or analytics platform certification
