The primary objective of the Balance Sheet Management function is to work with our Liquidity Management Services (LMS) Product Teams, Treasury, and Finance functions in order to establish our LMS strategy to deliver against revenue, work with regional teams to set the deposit strategy, support the delivery of TTS Treasury-related regulatory and Consent Order requirements, drive capital allocations / funds transfer pricing objectives and ensure that deposit behaviors are appropriately reflected, and work on setting balance sheet and spread optimization objectives. A key role is to develop the analytics necessary to proactively manage the balance sheet and monitor progress and performance against stated objectives/targets.
This role falls under the Funds transfer pricing, capital, and hedging optimization team. The team is responsible for the following:
Drive FTP initiatives by understanding country requirements.
Assess FTP/Hedging strategies.
Monitor and manage LMS Capital / RWA optimization.
Drive business input to IRR/EVS methodologies.
Monitor and optimize Treasury allocations.
Achieving these goals requires ongoing and consistent analytical support. Sample analysis would include regional transfer pricing and beta analysis; interest rate exposure assessment of our deposit portfolios; balance regressions; global comparative performance etc. In addition, support is required for ongoing monitoring of balance sheet (b/s) items having regulatory implications.
What you’ll do
The individual will be performing the following:
Monitor and coordinate loans ODs utilization with product teams in conjunction with RWA plan.
Analyze countries exposures based on ROTCE / RORWA.
Coordinate with optimization team to implement balance sheet fitness - Deposit optimization & asset repositioning.
Improve monitoring and forecasting analytics for RWA to ensure “capacity thresholds” are met for LMS.
Coordinate with Strategy and Planning team to ensure that RWA restrictions are embedded in the annual deposit / loans plan.
Establish common reporting and analytics to explain RWA changes / drivers/ enhancements proposals.
Treasury Allocations (Intraday, FDIC, LDIC, TLAC, Leverage ratio etc…)
Create visibility / consistency across various treasury allocations (global and country level)
Prepare a holistic view around LDIC (globally) and analyze current allocation methodology
Additional responsibilities
Act as a back-up to the FTP Lead.
Coordinate with cluster point of contact / local peers/ treasury to ensure proper allocations calculations / mappings.
Lead initiative to over perform plan by pre-agreed RWA target
What we’ll need from you
The individual will have a global role developing strategies with constant interaction and exposure to seniors in the product, the treasury, and other key stakeholders in the organization.
5+ years of relevant experience
Experience in deposit behaviors, asset-liability management, capital and funds transfer pricing.
Competencies: Strong organizational and communication skills; resilience; teamwork.
Self-motivated, goal orientated, and with agility to pivot based on evolving requirements.
Highly organized, responsive, and proactive.
Very Strong analytical and technical skills; Excellent excel skills required.
Treasury and Risk Management
Knowledge in Basel III and Capital related concepts
Market and Economic Insight
Education
Minimum bachelor's degree business administration / finance / economics.
