What You'll Do:
The Treasury Accounting Controller will lead all accounting functions supporting the Treasury organization, including debt, foreign exchange and investments accounting. This role will also serve as the primary business partner to Treasury and will maintain primary ownership over the OI&E forecasting process supporting FP&A. With your team, you will monitor emerging technical mentorship and lead the adoption of all new accounting standards impacting the treasury area. You will also ensure the completeness, accuracy and GAAP compliance of all financial disclosures and filings in the treasury space. You will:
Manage a team of 3 with support from Shared Services, working with Corporate Controller Group leadership to establish the team’s initiatives, set timelines and drive success
Serve as the primary accounting business partner for the Treasury team; discuss proposed transactions, research and advise
Lead treasury accounting monthly and quarterly close processes, overseeing the preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations and internal and external reports
Manage treasury accounting 10-K and 10-Q disclosures
Interact with Cisco's accounting policies team as well as external auditors on complex accounting issues, including researching accounting guidance and overseeing and reviewing the related documentation
Manage forecasting of Other Income and Expense
Document treasury accounting policy and procedures
Lead SOX Process for Treasury Accounting controls
Prepare and present monthly treasury internal reporting package to CFO and CFO staff
Our Minimum Qualifications for this Role:
Bachelors degree in Accounting with a strong academic record (CPA strongly preferred, but not required)
At least 10 years of experience in accounting
Experience leading a team
Accounting experience in Big 4, banking or high-technology company preferred
