The role of Commercial Leader

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop and Execute Business Plans: We translate the company's overall strategy into actionable plans for our business, including setting goals/OKRs, budgets, and timelines.
  • Market Analysis & Competitive Positioning: We constantly analyze the market, identify trends, and assess competitors to make informed decisions that keep our business ahead.
  • Identify Growth Opportunities: We are always looking for ways to expand the business, whether it's through new product development, entering new markets, or forming strategic partnerships.
  • Strategic Prioritization: We partner with cross-functional teams to ensure proper prioritization against the business strategy and acts as decision maker when misalignments occur.
  • Manage P&L: We are directly accountable for the financial performance of the business, meaning we proactively manage budgets, analyze revenue and expenses, and optimize profitability.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of leadership experience in fintech, payments, or financial services companies that cater to SMB customers.
  • Strong financial skills and P&L management.
  • Good understanding of In-Person Payments landscapes globally.
  • Experience leading business functions that require coordination of many stakeholders and cross functional teams.
  • Experience developing a multi-year vision, strategy and roadmap for large scale products.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems.
  • Ability to navigate highly matrixed environments.
  • Extensive experience engaging the In-Person Payment partner ecosystems, such as ISOs and ISVs, a plus.
