Financial Reporting Senior Manager
The Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for the management of the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly regulatory returns to Central Banks and other policymakers in multiple countries in the EMEA region. The reporting requirements are spread across Financial, Statistical, and Prudential regimes.
In this position you will use and expand your experience and professional skills for the following responsibilities:
Team management responsibility for a team of supervisors, analysts, including recruitment, goal setting, performance evaluation;
Oversee and manage the production, analysis and delivery of reports to various constituencies (National / central regulators like BaFin, ECB, SEC, etc) based on requirements such as IFRS, German GAAP, Basel
Perform analysis of financial results and conclude cause of variances such as accounting issues and economic events
Participate in efficiency and innovation projects on ad hoc basis by reviewing and developing current processes using advanced digitalization tools
Check and ensure that procedures, policies and responsibility matrixes are applied to adequately cover rules and regulations;
Manage data quality issues, investigate data quality improvement possibilities;
Prepare report mapping logics and rules set up in new system implementation project;
Ongoing review and development of processes to increase efficiency on a long term;
Management Responsibilities:
Manage multiple teams (6-10 people overall).
Coaching supervisors of individual teams.
Hire and retain talent.
The ideal candidate for this position preferably possesses the following qualifications and skills:
University/College degree in finance/accounting.
8+ years of work experience in financial, regulatory or risk reporting / auditing roles.
Good understanding of Accounting & Finance principles and Financial Markets and products/Regulatory Reporting requirements. Prior experience in a regulatory reporting role is an advantage.
Communicate effectively with a wide range of people across different functions and varying levels of seniority.
Good organizational and presentation skills.
Knowledge of VBA, Python, Knime, SQL.
Knowledge about German GAAP / IFRS and Basel 3 is highly advantageous.
Languages: English (mandatory), German (advantageous).
