What You’ll Do – SAP Enterprise Architect
This position is designed to support the growth and sales of the SAP offerings. The Enterprise Architect provides proactive executive advisory services addressing elements of business process and technology innovation. You will provide a holistic view of digital transformation by bridging the gap between business capabilities and technology enablers to drive strategic business outcomes. As an Enterprise Architect you will work with some of the world’s most dynamic and innovative customers supporting the design, development, and deployment of future state platforms.
- Bring passion for emerging technology capabilities necessary to extend or defend competitive differentiation.
- Earn trusted advisor status to our internal SAP account teams tasked with helping customers purchase, adopt, consume, and expand the use of the broad portfolio of SAP solutions.
- Be a strategic thinker, curious, engaging and collaborative with SAP customers, business partners and SAP teams.

- Lead Technology and Architecture
- Lead customer conversations at executive and leadership levels.
- Provide thought leadership on new technologies and recommendations to adopt for business results.
- Understands the customers industry, business priorities and strategic imperatives.
- Position technology thought leadership for intelligent enterprise, clean core, BTP and AI as key drivers.
- Provide recommendations on cross-portfolio architecture in the cloud.
- Lead cloud/hybrid enterprise architecture & value positioning.
- Deliver Architecture and Roadmap
- Collaborate with customers to understand their current state and identify areas of technology and process improvements.
- Support the development of their future state vision to meet business goals.
- Lead the definition of the “To-Be” architecture based on SAP products, solutions & services.
- Recommend a business-outcome-based roadmap, involving partners where applicable.
- Drive Lifetime Value
- Assist customers to drive alignment between target architecture and roadmap execution to complete business transformation.
- Support the customer’s enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap governance to facilitate adoption and consumption of SAP products/solutions and services.
- Be the customer preferred advisor on SAP solution capabilities and enabled business benefits.
- Align and evolve the architectures and roadmaps to enable frequent new products/solutions/service sales.
- Regional/market unit support and leadership
- Drive and help shape account plans and engagements by advising leadership and sales teams to ensure the right architecture design is proposed and delivered to the customer.
- Differentiate SAP technology and capabilities by industry throughout the sales cycle to deliver winning results.
- Support post-sale advisory and Executive Steering Committee meetings for top accounts.
- Collaborate with partners across the SAP ecosystem and contribute to a broad community and network.
- Build and nurture customer references.

- Account Management - Strategize with VAT to plan for accounts and opportunities, including identifying target opportunities, support setting goals, and develop action plans.
- Business Development and Execution - Proficiency in understanding the customers industry and specific business model to support in identifying new business opportunities, developing sales strategies, and executing plans to drive growth and revenue.
- Opportunity maturation - Support VAT to manage and progress opportunities through various stages of the sales cycle, understanding customer needs, aligning solutions, and overcoming obstacles.
- Challenger Selling - Proficiency in adopting a challenger mindset, challenging customers' assumptions, and providing insights that reshape their thinking and drive value-driven solutions.
- Consult and Advise - Consult/Advice customer and partners on the best way to implement the To-Be architecture and deploy successful adoption plan.
- Partner management - Proficiency in aligning with SAP partners to influence for the best adoption of standard SAP solutions and architectures. Influence partner to implement full roadmap to achieve maximum value realizations.

- Solution Lifecycle Experience – Ideally managed a complex SAP solution landscape implementation at an SAP customer.
- SAP Community Involvement – Passion for sharing with your peers and customers via knowledge sharing (industry specific events, user groups, SAP insider, TechEd, SAPPHIRE).
Additionally:
- 10+/15+ years as an architect in a relevant strategic consulting, advisory or customer role.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and infrastructure providers preferred.
- Experience in Enterprise Architecture, TOGAF or relevant certification preferred.
- Experience in building and retaining strong customer relationships.
- Experience in diverse technology landscapes and process/technology integration issues.
- Passion for how technology can be used to enable strategic initiatives.
- Residence in the United States preferred.
- Subject matter expert in one or more business domain(s).
- Project management skills knowledge.
- Depending on LoB has a PMI, Six Sigma or equivalent certification.
- Experience in large-scale solution implementations or software product development (preferably SAP).
