You will:
Lead the validation of server products for shock and vibration (S&V) performance. Collaborate with cross-functional development teams, suppliers, and accredited third-party laboratories to ensure product reliability aligns with or exceeds defined targets.
Define and communicate technical requirements through comprehensive Statements of Work and Functional Plans. Develop and execute detailed test plans, schedules, methodologies, and custom fixtures to support design validation.
Oversee project management activities related to supplier S&V laboratories, including providing direct technical guidance on validation techniques, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
Establish standardized test protocols for product qualification and issue investigation; monitor execution and deliver timely reporting of results.
Continuously enhance test methodologies to support evolving product features and requirements, leveraging insights from prior validation cycles.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience. Proven experience in mechanical design analysis focused on shock and vibration, preferably within the IT hardware domain.
Familiarity with simulation techniques such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Boundary Element Analysis (BEA), or Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) is advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with proficiency in debugging complex mechanical systems.
In-depth understanding of S&V test equipment and laboratory procedures, including shock, vibration, packaging, and mechanical integrity testing.
Demonstrated ability to perform failure analysis using hardware/software diagnostic tools, and to contribute to the advancement of test equipment and methodologies.
