JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Sr Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be based in Edinburgh, Scotland and support the design of space and defense products. You will play a crucial role in developing innovative mechanical designs and solutions for our cutting-edge products. Your expertise in mechanical design and engineering will contribute to the success of our space and defense projects. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the development and delivery of space and defense products. Your designs will contribute to the advancement of technology and the enhancement of safety and security in the aerospace industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop innovative mechanical designs for space and defense products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
• Conduct analysis and simulations to validate design performance
• Create detailed engineering drawings, bills of material and documentation
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise and guidance

YOU MUST HAVE • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in advanced mechanical design engineering
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools (e.g., CREO, NX, Ansys)

• Experience in the design of space or defense products but not essential
• Knowledge of PLM and ERP systems (e.g., Teamcenter, SAP)
