Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience working in an optical design for wearable consumer products.
Experience with optical design tools for both imaging and nonimaging, such as Code V, Zemax, LightTools, and Macleod.
Experience with opto-mechanical design and parametric modeling tools such as Solidworks, CATIA, NX.
Preferred qualifications:
6 years of experience working in an optical design for wearable consumer products.
Experience in plastic injection molding for complex optics (e.g., freeform and diffractive optical elements).
Experience in design of experiment (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC) in manufacturing.
Experience in optical metrology techniques including fizeau interferometry, white light interferometers, optical and contact CMMs, deflectrometry, roughness, and haze measurements.
