PNC Software Engineering Group Manager - Marketing Decision Management

As a Software Engineering Group Manager, you will be responsible for managing the marketing execution strategies within our Marketing and Credit Decision Management group. In this role you will work closely with business leaders to align on marketing strategies and architectures, and follow through to completion, including defining strategies, working on budgets and funding, researching and observing what other strategies are in the domain, etc. Specific job responsibilities will include:
• Managing projects: Develop delivery plans and estimate, securing technical talent to design and deliver solutions, manage development efforts and timelines throughout the development lifecycle.
• Deliver with Excellence: Set development standards, protocols, and processes to ensure that applications are fully documented, solutions are designed to a defined level of excellence, and all technical activities impacting other stakeholders and downstream users are clearly communicated and accepted.
• Internal & External Communications: This role will be communicating with various levels - direct reports, project teams, program stakeholders, bank leadership, etc. that requires clear and concise communication for various audiences ensuring all have a consistent understanding of any given change, impact, features, risks, and timelines.
• Architecture: Provide detailed technical solutions for MarTech software architecture and design including data modeling, flows, and security, API development and integrations
• Managing People: Provide the technical team with the tools and knowledge required to be successful in their roles; including but not limited to clear job descriptions with definitions for success, career pathing and promotion requirements, ongoing 1:1s with clear feedback and expectations on behaviors for success, ongoing education opportunities, as well as access to and knowledge of tools required for their respective roles.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identifying and planning for the mitigation of risk in project deliverables and timelines, solution design, People management, budgeting, and annual planning.
• Strategy: Work with senior leadership to develop and execute on both technical and business driven strategies and roadmaps to continually evolve the technical landscape, reduce technical debt, and deliver value add products and features quickly and to a high-quality standard
• Experience with multiple programming languages, Marketing Technologies, and data warehouse systems
• Expert level understanding of SDLC, Agile practices, and DevOps
• Experience with enterprise resource planning and development
• Experience working with and/or managing FinTech and MarTech teams.
• Proven track record of working with and coordinating the efforts of multiple stakeholders, clients, vendors, and teams.
• Experience with Data Modeling and Analytics

  • Maintains relationships with clients to ensure the implementation quality of application systems .

Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required.
