As the Director, Business Data Products & Solutions, you will partner with various cross-functional collaborators across PayPal, including Risk, Compliance, Finance, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Policy, Data Governance, Legal and other domains. You will deliver on the highest-value opportunities to meet the goals of our internal customers, our organizational priorities, and the satisfaction of our growing network of consumers and merchants.
• Alignment with Business Goals: Ensure that foundational data products and solutions are designed and delivered in accordance with the business's strategic objectives and priorities.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, gather feedback, align shared OKRs as necessary, and transparently prioritize initiatives accordingly.
• Data Quality and Integrity: Ensure adherence to best practices and standards for the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the data used in data products and solutions.
• Innovation: Continuously explore and leverage new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance data products and deliver additional value to the business.

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build positive and influential relationships across organizations through strong collaborative interactions, proactive planning, and decisive leadership.
  • Drive continuous discovery sessions with business partners to identify, scope, and prioritize opportunities to monetize or commercialize PayPal data assets aligned with business strategy.
  • Partner with the Risk, Compliance, and Finance organizations to understand key revenue growth opportunities and ways data can unlock or unblock them.
  • Own the creation of requirements for Data Product and Engineering teams based on discovery conversations with key stakeholders.
  • Communicate plans with objectives, target outcomes, and critical results to all audiences, including the PayPal Senior Leadership team.
  • Partner with Data Governance, Privacy, and Compliance teams to ensurethatour products and solutionscomply withregulatory boundaries.
  • Guide and direct platform architects to organize and design information flows across platforms and products following standard taxonomy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to promote best-in-class data products & services.
  • Partner with customers and users to understand their business needs, objectives and align data management activities to achieve impactful results.
  • Enable the integration of data management tools & capabilities within functional areas
  • Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow or prevent delivery of product and program objectives; balance urgent and effective action, commitment to excellence, and taking the initiative to resolve problems.
• Operational
  • Own the creation of data-driven requirements for Data Product and Engineering teams to enable development of insight services, based on approved design standards and reuseable architecture patterns.
  • Define growth targets in tandem with internal customers and proactively monitor performance versus projections.
  • Lead creation of business-driven data product requirements to enable insight services to be developed based on design standards and reusable architecture patterns.
  • Deliver a metrics-based approach to data product execution & adoption within functional areas.
  • Define and measure key performance indicators to evaluate and understand the value of data products and capabilities.
• Communication
  • Articulate data strategy and communicate key data management concepts across the organization.
  • Communicate plans with objectives, target outcomes, and critical results to all audiences, including the PayPal Senior Leadership team.
  • Provide thought leadership and expertise in implemention and adoption of enterprise-widedata management frameworks and processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to promote best-in-class data products & services.
  • Partner with customers and users to understand their business needs and align data management activities to achieve meaningful results.
