Markets Operations Transformation
Markets Operations at Citi has embarked on a significant, multi-year transformation covering all aspects of designing and delivering a future state target operating model: risk and controls, regulatory compliance, process re-engineering, automation, people and culture, data transformation, technology investment and client service. This is a large and complex undertaking.
The role:
This is a Vice President role, where the candidate will be instrumental in supporting our Regulatory transformation portfolio as Project Manager on one or more projects for Markets Operations. The role will combine project management expertise and analytical skills to support cross product and region transformation, through defining the required end to end controls framework and undertake gap analysis of current state leading to implementation and tracking of remediation activities.
The role provides an exciting range of opportunities to impact and influence the overall target state design and implementation of our strategic transformation priorities including:
- Implementing best practices and global consistency, simplifying & standardizing processes, and flows.
- Significant interaction with a wide range of stakeholder groups and senior management to help drive the agenda.
- Acquiring expertise across a range of products and asset classes to support the delivery of transformation.

Project Management & Business Analysis:
- Design and implement fully auditable program governance and reporting to measure project performance against targets and deadlines.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure scope and requirements are documented, backed by a business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives and that there are trackable, tangible benefits with associated KPIs.
- Develop, assess, and recommend options to solve for day-to-day business problems.
- Implement and maintain RAID logs and manage resolution and escalations in a timely manner.
- Monitor, report and manage budgets and expenditure.
- Partner with business stakeholders to secure SME resources.
- Partner with Legal and Compliance to interpret and/or document rules and legislation, determine and agree scope of solutioning or remediation.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with Internal Audit, Quality Assurance and other teams to support the success validation of outcomes against Regulatory requirements.
- Promote the use of industry and bank best practice principles in scoping, planning, process, and engineering capabilities to deliver key regulatory outcomes.
Transformation:
- Simplify, improve and measure processes by delivering enhancements to the control environment, and the customer journey with input to design techniques and digital automation.
- Facilitate and deliver change to reduce the risk profile throughout the Organization and its products.
- Drive process re-engineering, standardization, and technology prioritization along with global Product leaders.
- Develop and suggest operating model changes to pivot the Operations organization towards digitization and enhanced client experience.
Regulatory Governance:
- Regulatory change governance through tracking and validating closure of change activities across the Organization.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and re-align processes to ensure an optimal organizational structure for best-in-class risk management of regulatory functions.
People:

Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience in delivering transformation programs in a fast paced, large global financial services firm, ideally in an operations, risk or technology organization.
- Exceptional Program Management skills; Specialized program management and/or re-engineering certifications (six sigma, Agile, Lean, Prince 2 or PMP).
- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills. Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities along with a desire to work in a dynamic environment is key.
- Excellent analytical, data management and problem-solving skills and ability to clearly document findings and proposals for solutions using tools such as excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. A demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships both internally and externally to collaborate effectively. Ability to influence individuals who do not directly work for you.
- Strong awareness of both external and internal best practice perspectives, with the ability to discover and internalize diverse stakeholder goals brokering solutions that are in the best interest of Citi as a whole.
