The US East Pvt Portfolio ADN Leader role will be responsible for:

  • Lead a portfolio of 8-10 large Private clients based out of US Eastregion as lead Executive Director from GDS
  • Work closely with the GCSP of these large 8-10 private clients tocollaborate more with client executives and audit committee and buildstrong relationships with them to enable win in specific fields of play(across service lines)
  • Participate in US East EY Private forums to understand challengesand opportunities where GDS can expand integration
  • Deliver high quality audit services using the wider EY and One GDSecosystem focusing on delivery through standardization of workpapersand automated solutions
  • Take responsibility of managing risk at the practice and engagementlevel -maintain independence and objectivity, complying personally (andchallenging colleagues’ and teams’ adherence) with all applicableprofessional standards, EY policies and regulatory requirements
  • Lead a high performing GDS team of audit professionals to serve theclient
  • Drive mobility opportunities for high performing senior managers andmanagers on US East Private portfolio
  • Transform the audit delivery through use of automation tools and dataanalytics
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ business goals, sector andEY services to drive the audit strategy for the client, which also includesbuilding and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Deliver insights on the account to gain trust and confidence of theclient
  • Develop a strategy to increase GDS’s footprint on the account acrossservice lines

Essential Functions ofthe job

Win in the market:

  • Lead the portfolio of 8-10 large private US East clients from GDSunder the construct of Account centricity program through “ONE GDSteam” and work as part of primary team and collaborate with GCSP todeliver on client priorities
  • Participate in US East EY Private forums to understand challengesand opportunities where GDS can expand integration
  • Driving the service delivery transformation of identified portfolio
  • Designing and driving strategy
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ business goals and EYservices to co-develop an account strategy for new business or currentbusiness expansion and assist GCSP to generate new businessopportunities and build client networks and relationships
  • Implement and continuously improve processes via use of technologyand innovation.
  • Deliver high class audit services to identified 8-10 large US Eastprivate clients using the wide EY and GDS ecosystem
  • Take responsibility of managing risk at the practice and engagementlevel -maintain independence and objectivity, complying personally (andchallenging colleagues’ and teams’ adherence) with all applicableprofessional standards, EY policies and regulatory requirements
  • Deliver training on GAM methodology and other current markettrends and industry issues

Building High Performing Teams

  • Develop a world class team of highly motivated audit professionals
  • Drive mobility opportunities for high performing senior managers andmanagers on US East Private portfolio

  • Guide team members on technical areas of high risk & complexity,participate actively in performance management & learning process of theteam; help build the career value that team gains from working with GDSAssurance
  • Mentor and coach direct reporting Executive Director and SeniorManagers on technical aspect and on soft skills e.g., how to handle peopleissues, difficult client, decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ business goals and EYservices to co-develop an account strategy for new business or currentbusiness expansion and assist GCSP to generate new businessopportunities and build client networks and relationships
  • Demonstrates leadership and sets an example to others that quality,exceptional client service, efficiency, and optimized use of GDS are ouroverarching objectives.
  • Leads by example in bringing in “One GDS” by leveraging cross subservice line credentials.
  • Partnering with GDS and Area digital leadership to acceleratedevelopment and adoption of digital solutions.
  • Use cutting edge technology to bring innovations in delivery that willdrive value lead growth.

Ethics and independence

  • Sets an example of a no defects policy through individual compliancewith ethics and independence requirements.

Portfolio Management

  • Being an advocate of change in streamlining GDS processes to makeit leaner and more efficient.

Human resources and education

  • Provides directions to GDS Assurance leadership on the need forspecialized training based on work portfolio characteristics.
  • Ensuring the right levels and caliber of talent in the team and focuson up-skilling and moving up the value chain

Education &Experience

  • Chartered Accountant from ICAI.
  • 14+ years of post-qualification experience in global strategic andtransformation roles managing large teams across geography.
  • Hands-on experience in setting up teams, creating solutions andhaving managed large teams.
  • Experience in a global environment and managing senior leaders’

Knowledge and SkillsRequirements


Technical Competencies

  • Strong audit knowledge including understanding of the auditmethodology and GAAP.
  • Strong project and change management knowledge, with provenrecord of managing large initiatives.
