Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Build and execute Application Delivery (Network Load Balancing) strategy, aligning it with larger IT/Network organizational objectives.
- Define and execute the product and capability roadmap and engineer new designs at all levels of the environment to meet business and customer needs while fostering strong internal and external relationships.
- Lead the transformation for increased automation, reliability, and velocity within the pipeline through robust infrastructure telemetry, KPIs, and indicators.
- Lead complex issue resolution with in-depth troubleshooting and define long-term solutions to prevent repeat issues.
- Assess and implement security solutions to build a robust and secure network services environment.
- Engage incumbent vendors to drive product enhancements, improve service levels, and address product issues.
- Stay aware of the industry landscape to identify opportunities for potential enhancements with strong supporting data and financial return on investment.
- Ensure efficient planning, provisioning,installation/configuration,maintenance, and operations of hardware and software infrastructure.
- Engage in and lead the financial planning and inventory management activities.
Qualifications:You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of experience, OR Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or STEM related field.
4+ years of experience in the following:
- Application Delivery networking (network load balancing), including advanced troubleshooting of complex application delivery controller issues.
- Enterprise-grade load balancers and WAF solutions -Experience working with the F5 ADC's and common web threats (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
- Network concepts used in LAN and WAN technology areas.
- Troubleshooting and analytical skills in network and application protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, TLS/SSL, DNS etc. and CDN architectures)
- Application traffic management, health checks, and failover configurations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with web security standards and best practices, including mitigation of DDoS and web-based threats.
- Mid-level packet analysis using tools such as Wireshark. Using data analytics for problem-solving and driving operational improvements.
- Ability to influence non-technical and technical leaders to drive technical and business process changes.
- Familiarity with Agile planning processes and working with product owners and technical leaders to identify priorities.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices such as Incident, Problem, and Change management.
- Experience working across multiple geographies with a one-team mentality.
- Proven stakeholder management resulting in successful customer partnerships.
- Leading large self-initiated and/or customer-driven projects to successful outcomes.
- Experience working on large complex projects, with knowledge of planning practices and coordination with multiple cross geo teams.
