Job Responsibilities
- Working closely with Investment Advisors and Bankers in Asia, as well as with clients, on new product launches and ongoing alternative investment opportunities, specifically covering the Southeast Asia, Australia and China region.
- Representing and articulating the views of the Alternative Investments Group at key internal and external meetings
- Analyzing client multi-asset class investment portfolios and providing alternative investment product and implementation advice in conjunction with Advisors.
- Articulating the manager selection process and how the alternative platform offering fits the Global Wealth Management strategy within a market context.
- Actively participating in Alternative Investment Group meetings, demonstrating leadership.
- Focusing on teamwork, with particular emphasis on fostering and mentoring junior talent within the group.
- Traveling is required at times, accompanied by Fund managers for events.
Required Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline
- Specific knowledge of, and hands-on product experience in alternative investments, including hedge funds, private equity, private credit and real estate
- Minimum 6 years of working experiences with at least 4 years in investment sales, alternative investment due diligence, alternative product investor relations, alternatives product specialist functions, etc.
- Experience in both private investments and hedge funds are preferred.
- Proven client management skills and effective communication skills (oral and written) who can positively engage and influence clients as well as internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, and must be a team player and able to work with different business functions across the bank.
- Operate with a high level of integrity and risk awareness.
- Written and verbal business fluency in Mandarin is required due to frequent interaction with clients from China region.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities
- The candidate needs to register with the MAS for Type 1 (dealing in securities), 4 (advising on securities), and 9 (asset management) licenses.
- Strong knowledge of local regulatory policies and guidelines
- Strong knowledge of relevant financial markets and instruments
- CFA and/or CAIA holder is preferred.
