Job Description

Summary of Position

  • Overall responsibility of all sales activities of swine products in Taiwan
  • Is responsible for the preparation of sales and promotion budgets and supervise technical and marketing managers in the preparation of marketing plans of swine products in Taiwan each year.
  • Is responsible to supervise the sales team in the implementation of the plan, monitor the implementation of the plan accordingly, control and discuss all deviations from planned figures as well in sales as in costs with General Manager.
  • Assisting General Manager in coordinating the optimal cooperation of swine team with others.

a) Provide Strategic Direction and Leadership

1. To supervise technical and marketing managers in the preparation of the marketing plan and review the plan before submitting to General Manager every year.

i) Sales objectives & sales budget of each products,

ii) Strategies & tactics,

iii) Action plan,

iv) Expense budget;

2. To supervise sales team to achieve the sales objectives and control the expense and trade receivables within the budget every year;

3. To recommend the selected distributors and set the pricing and payment term system for the approval of General Manager in Taiwan;

4. To train up his/her subordinates, delegate the responsibilities to them and guide them how to perform properly;

6. To report the situations of the market to General Manager monthly so that General Manager can rectify the strategy and action plans immediately. Those include:

i) Competitors’ pricing, bonus program and promotional activities,

7. To review the results of the monthly activities of his/her subordinates, set and approve the action plans of the subordinates and guide them to implement the plans every month;

8. To help the set up the performance appraisal system, and bonus scheme and evaluation system;

9. To help the business support officer set up the sales analysis and monitoring system;

10. To conduct the performance appraisal with the subordinates, recommend selection, recruitment as well as termination of staff in swine team;

12. To monitor the implementation of effective technical and product training to the field staff, distributors and customers;

1. To supervise the implementation of key accounts management in swine team;

3. To supervise the market research of swine market, identify potential market niches for the development of the business in swine market;

4. To Initiate and monitor the registration of swine products in Taiwan.

a) Qualifications and Experiences

1. Has been in the senior position in managing the sales and marketing and technical teams in foreign animal health industry for at least 5 years;

2. Well understand swine and feed industries in the country;

3. Preferred graduating from veterinary medicines or animal husbandry;

4. Has MBA, EMBA or business management diploma is preferable;

5. Fluent in English, Mandarin and Taiwanese;

6. Willing to fluent traveling;
