Technology – AI & Data- Data Architect – Manager – Healthcare Sector
As a Manager in Data Architecture, you will have the opportunity to lead transformative technology projects and programs that align with our organizational strategy to achieve impactful outcomes. You will provide assurance to leadership by managing timelines, costs, and quality, and lead both technical and non-technical project teams in the development and implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions and infrastructure. Your specialized knowledge in project and program delivery methods, including Agile and Waterfall, will be instrumental in coaching others and proposing solutions to technical constraints.
Your key responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the effective management and delivery of one or more processes, solutions, and projects, with a focus on quality and effective risk management. You will drive continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions through research, analysis, and best practices. Managing professional employees or supervising team members to deliver complex technical initiatives, you will apply your depth of expertise to guide others and interpret internal/external issues to recommend quality solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring project deliverables are completed and project status is tracked effectively.
- Managing engagement economics and resource planning.
- Identifying opportunities for additional services and leading specific RFP responses.
- Develop standardized practices for delivering new products and capabilities using Big Data technologies, including data acquisition, transformation, and analysis
- Interact with senior client technology leaders, understand their business goals, create, architect, propose, develop and deliver technology solutions
- Define and develop client specific best practices around data management within a Hadoop environment or cloud environment
- Recommend design alternatives for data ingestion, processing and provisioning layers
- Design and develop data ingestion programs to process large data sets in Batch mode using Hadoop, Spark, Azure Synapse, and Databricks
- Develop data ingestion programs to ingest real-time data from LIVE sources using Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming and related technologies

- Strong understanding & familiarity with all Hadoop Ecosystem components and Hadoop Administrative Fundamentals
- Strong understanding of underlying Hadoop Architectural concepts and distributed computing paradigms
- Experience in the development of Hadoop APIs and MapReduce jobs for large scale data processing
- Hands-on programming experience in Apache Spark using SparkSQL and Spark Streaming or Apache Storm
- Hands on experience with major components like Hive, Spark, and MapReduce
- Experience working with NoSQL in at least one of the data stores - HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB
- Experienced in Hadoop clustering and Auto scaling
- Good knowledge in Apache Kafka & Apache Flume
- Knowledge of Spark and Kafka integration with multiple Spark jobs to consume messages from multiple Kafka partitions
- Knowledge of Apache Oozie based workflow
- Hands-on expertise in cloud services like AWS, and/or Microsoft Azure
- Solid understanding of ETL methodologies in a multi-tiered stack, integrating with Big Data systems like Hadoop and Cassandra
- Experience with BI, and data analytics databases
- Experience in converting business problems/challenges to technical solutions considering security, performance, scalability etc.
- Experience in Enterprise grade solution implementations
- Knowledge in Big data architecture patterns (Lambda, Kappa)
- Experience in performance bench marking enterprise applications
- Experience in Data security (on the move, at rest)
- Strong UNIX operating system concepts and shell scripting knowledge
To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelor’s degree and 6-10 years of full-time working experience in Data Architecture/Engineering
- 2-4 years of experience directly managing technical teams
- At least 2 years working in the healthcare domain (payer, provider or integrated health systems), developing solutions for healthcare challenges
- Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal formal and informal).
- Ability to multi-task under pressure and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a team player and enjoy working in a cooperative and collaborative team environment
- Adaptable to new technologies and standards
- Participate in all aspects of Big Data solution delivery life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, production deployment, and support
- Minimum 8 years hand-on experience in one or more of the above areas

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $141,400 to $259,200. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $169,700 to $294,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
