This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.Key job responsibilities
- Identify and solve ambiguous problems streamlining the operations and maintenance of S3, Glacier, Crypto, and IDAS services in our ADC and GovCloud regions.- Mentor and share your knowledge of the most effective performance, scalability, architecture, and engineering patterns and methods.
- This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week in every six to eight. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.This is an opportunity to operate and engineer systems on a massive scale, and to gain top-notch experience in cloud computing. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
