What You'll Do

As a Renewals Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the ongoing satisfaction and retention of our existing customer base. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients nearing the expiration of their current contracts or subscriptions, guiding them through the renewal process with a focus on exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Client Relationship Management:

    • Develop strong, positive relationships with assigned clients to understand their needs, challenges, and goals.
    • Proactively engage with clients before contract expiration to discuss renewal options and demonstrate the value of SAP.

Renewal Process Management:

    • Provide end-to-end renewal execution support.
    • Maintain knowledge of commercial negotiation, renewal execution, support on transactional steps related to renewals and replacements.
    • Coordinate renewal activities, including timely communication with clients, sending renewal quotes, and addressing any questions or concerns.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless renewal process for clients.
    • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contract terms with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
    • Ensure all renewals are processed accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining detailed records of contract changes and updates.

Renewal Forecasting and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, renewal statuses, and forecasted revenue.
    • Provide renewal forecasting support by accurately scrubbing renewals 12 months in advance of expiration date.

Special & Strategic Projects:

    • In addition to traditional renewal process, there will be the opportunity to managed workstreams and initiatives which depend upon renewal process for success.

  • Proven experience in customer-facing roles, such as Customer Success, Account Management, or Sales.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • A passion for customer satisfaction and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Able to Liaise with various approval steps including accounting, finance, office of CFO, legal, etc.
  • Preferred:
    • Ability to work through multiple SAP commercial software systems.
    • Knowledgeable in internal SAP processes; experience navigating cross-functionally within customer engagement, sales, commercial and legal teams.
    • Knowledgeable on SAP Cloud Terms and Conditions and how to convert legacy agreements.
    • Knowledgeable on Scope of negotiation authority within SAP’s policies and procedures.
    • Knowledgeable in SAP Harmony and CRM functionality (Opportunity & Quote).
    • Knowledgeable in Forecasting principles, methodologies, and triggers.
    • Knowledgeable in Renewal metrics, including uplift, upsell, cross-sell, etc. and how to accurately influence these metrics via SAP CRM in accordance with Cloud Bookings policies.
    • Knowledgeable in regional-specific process requirements.
    • Knowledgeable in regional deal support structures and relationships with/ability to influence these teams.
    • Knowledgeable in renewal strategy, deal architecture, and internal navigating of commercial and legal teams.
    • Business process management or related knowledge and experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
