Halo Studios is looking for our nextPrincipal Software Engineeringlead theworking on a new project inUnreal Engine 5.By working with keyders across multiple disciplines within Halo Studios, you will.As an experienced game developer andcomfortable managing, making difficult technical tradeoffs and technology choicesto ensure the success of the project.Roles at our studio are flexible, and you can work from home up to two days a week in this role.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    • OR equivalent experience.

  • years experiencedeveloping with 4+years experiencemanaging engineering teams for AAA video games(orsimilar products).
  • Experience shipping 1+ online multiplayer gameas lead engineer, withfamiliarity of development expectations acrossall major phases of product development.
  • + years of hands-on experience with UnrealEngine.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Scienceor related technical field AND15+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++,orC#.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Scienceor related technical field AND12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to,C, C++,orC#.
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • +shippedvideo gameson console and/or PC.
  • 1+ shipped video game using Unreal Engine.
  • +years experienceleading engineering teams.
  • Experience developing features for a multiplayershooter.

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
